Have you heard about this guy named Donald Trump? He's a wealthy real estate mogul in the United States and he's running for President.

Of the country.

The whole thing and...he's got a plan to win.

You see Mr Trump isn't just a real estate mogul, he's a reality television star and that's where his appeal and threat comes from. Reality shows in the US and across the world typically garner more votes than the US Presidential election. even with caveats attached, that's a huge point.

Therefore, one can argue, if one can win the a reality show, one can garner enough votes to win the Presidency. Now add to this mix, a person who does not have to compete in the show. Imagine a person who is at the centre of the mix. Imagine that contestants have to impress him and every season therefore, he wins no matter what.

His brash sense of in your face, confrontational, almost incoherent conduct makes him a perfect fit for the "American ideal". A person who is in charge of their own life, answers to no one and is incredibly rich.

Why wouldn't you listen to him? He doesn't talk above you. It's almost as if he doesn't have that much education at all. I'm sure he does but, it almost seems as if he goes to extremes to hide that fact and speak as simply as possible.

In order to understand the inherent problem with emulating the reality show model all you need to do is is think about the last winner of a major reality show. How many can you name? How many went on to be really successful? How many are now in, relative, obscurity?

Winning a reality show is good television but rarely is good for a career and the President of the United States of America is a career capping job not, "another notch in the bedpost of life"it is one of the most important jobs in the world. It is akin to being CEO of an entire country only with less power.

Do you really think that a person who has been in charge his own corporation for the past five and a half decades is going to work well with a hostile Congress? International Law? Other countries like Canada and Mexico?

Actions speak louder than words and to date his actions make him unfit to be President.
